Robert "Bob" Williams, Jr.

Mr. Robert "Bob" Hightower Williams, Jr., age 85, of Griffin, passed away June 12, 2022.  Bob, also known as "Pops" was born June 30, 1936 to Robert and Ouida Williams. He was a beloved husband and father.

He leaves behind his wife Kim "Chop Chop" Williams; sons and daughters-in-law: Marty and Gail Williams, Jon and Regina Williams, Timmy and Susan Caldwell, and Michael Caldwell; daughter: Lisa Crabtree; former son-in-law: Tim Crabtree; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Pops loved hunting and fishing and passed that down to his children.  He enjoyed grilling steaks, making wine and working in the yard.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the Soggy Bottom Sportsman's Club, which truly meant the world to him. He loved his family dearly, liked to laugh and make others laugh and smile. It was a true pleasure to have known Pops.  He will be greatly missed by friends and family.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, June 17, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 18, at 10 a.m., in the Pinecrest Cemetery, 100 Pinecrest Drive, Vidalia.
