Robin Sturgis

Ms. Robin Elaine Junker Sturgis, age 67, of Griffin, passed away September 19, 2024.  She was born in Groton, Connecticut, daughter of the late Howard Revell Junker and Norma Jean Miller Junker.  She was currently working as a barista at the Black Smoke Coffee Shop in Orchard Hill. Robin was a talented photographer and an artist. She enjoyed camping, loved flamingos, and was passionate about traveling.

She was preceded in death by her son, Justin, who tragically died in 2002, at the age of 20. He was her entire world, and Robin would still talk about him every chance she got.

She is survived by her best friend: Tracy Childress; her twin brothers: David Junker and Dennis Junker; dear friends: Mindy Berry, Patsy and Bobby Goolsby and the Black Smoke Coffee family; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many more friends.

A Celebration of Robin's life will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, September 29, on the lawn of Black Smoke Coffee, 2914 Macon Road, Griffin, Georgia 30224.
