Rodney Perkins

Mr. Rodney Shane Perkins, age 56, of Milner, passed away at Regency Select Hospital in Macon on July 25, 2026, from injuries sustained in a car accident on June 24th. He was born in Griffin, GA on December 7, 1969, to Calvin and Helen Perkins.

Rodney’s career of HVAC work spanned 35+ years. He was well known in the community for being the person to call for help with HVAC and other handyman jobs. His hard work and generosity were two of his finest traits. Rodney was a member of Rock Springs Church in Milner.

He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Perkins and sister-in-law, Julie Jones Goolbsby.

He is survived by his wife, Kris Jones Perkins; his 6 sons: Bailey Perkins, John Perkins, Hunter Banks (Kailyn), Levi Banks (Emma), Ethan Perkins and Tatum Perkins; his mother, Helen Clark Perkins; his brothers: Scottie Perkins (Pamela), Robbie Perkins (Angela) and Brad Perkins (Jennifer); grandson, Blaze Banks; mother-in-law, Angie Jones; sister-in-law, Brooke Bartlett (Adam); brother-in-law, Mike Goolsby; several beloved nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Rodney’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Clay Chasteen officiating.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
