Roger Prater

Mr. Roger Lee Prater, age 73, of Concord, passed away December 29, 2023.  He grew up in Haralson County, GA, son of the late P. W. Prater and Jerlean Robinson Prater.  Roger graduated from Haralson County High School.  For most of his life he worked in construction. He and his wife owned and operated Bobbie Allison Construction Company.  He had lived in Concord for over 20 years. Roger was a sportsman, an avid coon hunter, and enjoyed his horses, being outdoors, and woodworking.

Along with his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Allison.

He is survived by his wife:  Teresa Parten Prater; children: Christie Wagner (Michael), Nathan Prater (Leslie), and Preston Prater (Christy); grandchildren: Cameron Smith (Alex), Zachary Smith (Vanessa), Morgan Prater, Natalie Payne, Kaydee Prater, Kaiden Carden and Dominic; great-grandchildren: Deliah, Bellamy and Ripley Smith and Kloie and Lucas Smith; sisters and a brother: Opal Newman (Donnie), Martha Mitchell, Patsy Cohen (Terry), and Tim Prater (Melody); many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
