Ronald Wayne Woods

Mr. Ronald Wayne Woods, age 66, of Thomaston, passed away peacefully in his home on July 11, 2022. Ronald was born in Chicago, Illinois, son of Winifred "Janell" and Carl Woods. He spent many years of his life working as a truck driver and traveling around the United States for The Salvation Army. After retiring, Ronald spent his free time reading books about old mobsters and enjoying watching Law and Order on television. He loved his family, close friends, and church dearly. Memories with Ronald will be cherished for years to come by those who knew him.

Ronald was preceded in death by his grandparents: Edsel and Mossie Woods, Virginia and Lewis Butler, and his great-nephew, Nolan.

Ronald is survived by his parents: Carl and Janell; three siblings: Kathy (Spencer) Boggs, Terry Michael Woods, and Roger (Audrie) Woods; nieces and nephews: Brittany, Blake, Mackenzie, Curtis, Benjamin, Joey, and Tina; great nieces and nephews: Rylea, Simon, Charlie, Luke, Ava, Jake, and Edy Grace.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, July 13, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., at the funeral home. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.
