Ruth Greenway

Mrs. Ruth Mann Greenway, age 89, formerly of Atlanta, passed away April 17, 2024, in Thomaston.  She grew up in Atlanta, daughter of the late Clyde C. Mann and Clara Beck Mann. Mrs. Greenway was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed hot wings, Coca Colas, and cream puffs.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Sonny Greenway, son David Wayne Clayton, Sr., daughter Diane Ward, twin sister Ruby Chumbley, brother Hubert Mann, grandson Charles Bruce and beloved dog Coco.

She is survived by her grandchildren: Sheri Clayton, Shane Ward, Dawn Miller, Chasity Nix, Tonya Bruce and David Clayton, Jr.; niece: Rita Chumbley; daughter-in-law: Clara Clayton; 14 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta.
