Sammy Loggins

Mr. Samuel Dillard "Sammy" Loggins, age 73, of Palmetto, passed away March 12, 2025, at his home.  Sammy was born in Griffin, son of the late Benny Duncan Loggins and Helen Cooper Loggins.  He worked in construction for over 50 years.  He was an avid hunter, and also enjoyed fishing, and vegetable gardening.

Along with his parents, Sammy was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Loggins, John Loggins and Leon Loggins and his brother-in-law, Ellison Brannon.

He is survived by his wife Reneé Loggins; children: Julie Marie Nitz, Lowell Ivan Loggins (Megan), Shane Edward Loggins (Lauren) and Thomas Leon Loggins; sister: Rebecca Brannon; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. His son, Lowell Loggins and nephew Eddie Brannon will officiate.
