Sandra Burton

Mrs. Sandra Jane Bell Burton, age 82, of Griffin, passed away December 21, 2024, at her home.  She was born in Alpharetta, daughter of the late Herman Bell and Anne Mae Pitts Bell.  Sandra was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was known by her family as Mom, Mama, Nana, and Maw Maw. She loved gospel music and singing.  For 17 years, she served the people of Neal Baptist Church in Concord while her husband was pastoring there.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Ernest Bell, Charles Bell, James, Hugh Bell, Herman Bell Jr., and Bobby Bell and a sister, Betty Jean Campbell.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years: Rev. Clarence Burton; children: Rose Ann "Trudy" Clayton, Angie Bergen (Chris), Christy Bunn, and Kevin Burton (Brenda); many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; brothers Jack Bell (Judy) and Billy Bell (Barbara); sister: Linda Sudderth; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
