Shorty Clayton

Mr. David Wayne "Shorty" Clayton, Sr., age 73, of Molena, passed away January 20, 2024.  He was born in Atlanta and lived in Griffin for many years before moving to Molena in 2023.  Shorty was a jokester and had a great sense of humor.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR.  Kyle Bush was his favorite driver.  He was also an avid GA Bulldog fan. Shorty was a great husband, father, and PawPaw.

He was preceded in death by his father, George David Clayton, his son, Charles Bruce, and sister, Diane "Dicey" Ward.

He is survived by his wife:  Clara Clayton; children: David Wayne Clayton, Jr. (Julie), Tonya Bruce, Sheri Clayton, Dawn Miller, and Chasity Nix; grandchildren: Lanie, Preslie and Jax Clayton, Clayton and Cody Scott, Kristen Turner, Matthew Bruce, Oshyn and Ireland Clayton, Dagen and Butler Miller and Kayla and Cody Clayton; mother: Ruth Mann Greenway; and six great-grandchildren.

It was Shorty's wish to be cremated and no formal services are planned.
