Sterling Jesse Rawdin: A Life of Love and Legacy
Griffin, GA - Sterling Jesse Rawdin, 25, passed away tragically and too soon on the evening of August 15, 2024. Sterling's life was one of remarkable transformations, a testament to the enduring power of love and resilience. Born in Shuya, Russia, on June 27, 1999, Sterling's early years were fraught with challenges. However, his life took a beautiful turn when he was embraced by the Clements family in 2018.
From that moment forward, Sterling flourished. He graduated from Spalding High School, became employed as a valued member of the RavenVolt team, and actively attended New Hope Baptist Church, in Zebulon, GA. Sterling radiated a zest for life that touched everyone he met.
Sterling's passions were many. He was a devoted sports fan, cheering on his beloved Bulldogs, Braves, and Tom Brady with unwavering enthusiasm. He deeply cherished his visits to St. Simons Island, where he created treasured memories with loved ones.
Above all, Sterling was a beacon of kindness and generosity. His unwavering support, infectious smile, and genuine care for others made him a role model and an inspiration. He lived life to the fullest, creating deep bonds with family and friends that will forever be cherished.
Sterling leaves behind a legacy of love, reminding us of all the transformative power of family and friends and the importance of living each day with passion and purpose. He was preceded in death by his grandmother in June of 2024, June Dudrow, and survived by his loving parents, Kelvin and Teresa Clements, the Prewitts (Clint and Candis and their children Caleb and Lily-June); the Blodgetts (Rob and Melinda, and their children Brooklynn, Jillian, and Benjamin); the Clarks (David and Sandy); Joe Arrington; and the Turnbulls (Iain and Katie, and their children Aubrie and Leo). Sterling was also survived by a host of amazing friends. These friends stood beside Sterling during both times of brokenness and times of celebration.
A celebration of Sterling's extraordinary life will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Moody-Daniel Funeral Home, Zebulon, GA. A visitation will be held at 10:00 am followed by a service at 11:00 am with Rob Blodgett and Josh Gilliam officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Christian Women's Center , online or to PO Box 773, Sunnyside, GA 30284.
Though his time with us was tragically cut short, Sterling's spirit will forever live on, a testament to a life lived with love, laughter, and unwavering strength.
