Susan Nix

Ms. Susan Crystal Henning Nix, age 64, of Zebulon, passed away February 2, 2025.  Susan grew up in Atlanta, daughter of the late Walter Ozzie Henning, Sr. and Mildred "Mickey" Brand Henning.  Susan was the Human Resources Manager at K-mart in Jonesboro for 20 years and then worked for Office Depot for over 12 years.  She enjoyed shopping on Temu, arts and crafts and spending time with her grandson and best friend Chris.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Nix, her brothers, Walt Henning and Steve Henning.

She is survived by her sons: Jason Nix (Chasity) and Michael Nix (Angela); grandchildren: John, Chris, Gabrielle, Elias, Kayla, and Kody; great-grandchildren: Alice Mae, Charlotte Dean who is due in May; sister: Connie Wing; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 2 p.m., in Moody Memorial Gardens.
