Tommy Curtis Bostwick

Tommy Curtis Bostwick, age 73, of Roswell, passed away on September 15, 2026, alongside loved ones.

Tommy was born in Atlanta on July 25, 1953, to the late Glen Wilmot Bostwick and Mildred Roberta (Jones) Bostwick. He grew up in Atlanta, graduated from North Fulton High School in 1971, and later attended Georgia State University. He spent the majority of his life in the Atlanta and Roswell areas and attended North Druid Hills Baptist Church & Grace Alliance Church.

Tommy spent his career in land surveying and helped lead Bostwick, Duke, Harper & Worthy, Inc., a Roswell-based surveying company that served communities throughout Georgia for 45 years. He was highly respected by the people who worked alongside him, and his career even took him to Portugal, where he traveled with his team to complete a survey for a women’s softball stadium. After decades in the field, Tommy retired at the age of 70.

The Bostwick family line was defined by a love of the Georgia outdoors, and Tommy proudly carried that tradition throughout his life. He learned to fish from his father, Glen, and later passed that same love on to his sons, Thomas and Michael. Tommy always said, “It doesn’t matter what you are fishing for, as long as you are fishing”. He once caught a 44-pound striped bass at Lake Lanier, earning him a feature in Georgia Outdoors. He also loved camping and the many family trips to St. George Island, Florida.

Tommy was gentle, kind, and happy, with a heart for helping others. He was a wonderful teacher, always willing to share what he knew, and endlessly supportive of his family and the paths they chose in life. Even near the end of his life, Tommy spoke about wishing he had more time to help others, a reflection of the caring and generous person he had always been.

One of Tommy’s greatest joys was being “T-Pa.” He was immensely proud of his grandchildren and cherished his role as their grandfather. A favorite family memory is the pride he took in the name “T-Pa,” even changing his license plate to bear the name. Above all else, Tommy treasured his family and the time he spent with those he loved.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Phillip W. “Phil” Bostwick and Mark Zachary Bostwick.

He is survived by his sons: Thomas Bostwick (Amy) and Michael Bostwick (Melissa); his beloved grandchildren: Graham and June Bostwick; his partner of 18 years: Jane King; her children: Eric and Wyatt Setzer; his sister: Theresa Ann Northcutt (Gary) along with many other extended family members and dear friends.

A memorial service celebrating Tommy’s life will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 4:30 p.m., in the Chapel of One Mission Church, 5915 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, Georgia 30084. All who knew and loved Tommy are welcome to attend and celebrate his life with his family.

Tommy will be laid to rest privately at Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta at a later date.
