Tony Caraway

Mr. Tony "Tumbleweed" O'Neal Caraway, age 66, of Zebulon, passed away June 3, 2024.  Tony grew up in Pike County and at a young age started working on the farm with his dad.  He later worked in the paving business for Hill and Snell construction companies and on the assembly line at Ford Motor Company. Tony had a kind and gentle spirit, loved his family and liked to make others laugh. He enjoyed music, fishing, and camping.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Callahan Caraway and his brother, Jimmy Caraway.

He is survived by his dad: Robert O'Neal Caraway; children: Anthony Caraway, Jeremy Caraway, and April Caraway; sisters and a brother: Pattie Faulkner (Wade), Cheryl Fulghum (Steve), Barbara Caraway (Warren Storey), and Steven Caraway (Genny); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service is being planned and will be held at a later date.
