Valarie A. Elliott

Ms. Valarie F. Aldridge Elliott, age 69, of Barnesville, passed away August 24, 2025.  Valarie grew up in Milner and was the valedictorian of her graduating class at Pike County High School. She earned her bachelor's degree in education from Tift College in Forsyth.  Valarie taught Language Arts and Social Studies at Pike County Middle School for 30 years before retiring. She loved all animals, especially dogs, cats and horses.

She was preceded in death by her father, Silas Lloyd Aldridge Jr.

She is survived by her sons: Darrell Elliott (Mandy), Chris Elliott (Jacinda) and Dusty Elliott (Tiffaney);  grandchildren: Cameron, Gage, Hunter, Chloe, Ryder, Nevaeh, Victoria, Russell and Nova; great-granddaughter: Oakley; mother: Eleanor Aldridge; a brother and two sisters: Philip Aldridge (Kathy), Regina Cook (Randy) and Selina Wilson (Barry); many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, 2 p.m., at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church, 1274 Ramah Church Rd., Barnesville. Elder Kurt Bacon will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Milner Baptist Church Cemetery.
