Vera Milow-Martin

Ms. Vera Milow-Martin, age 99, of Eustis, Florida, passed away April 8, 2026, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. Vera was born and raised in Lakewood, New Jersey, daughter of the late Paul Milow and Susanna Komada Milow.  She was a high school graduate and had a diplomatic science background. She worked in advertising and public relations for several companies including Tambrand Incorporated (Proctor & Gamble Company) from 1952 to 1989 where she served as Educational Consultant, Educational Director, and Vice President of Educational Affairs. Later, she and her husband owned and managed a campground. She also was a demonstrator for Nutro Pet Food Products.

Her last job was in funeral services where she worked for Page Theus Funeral Home and Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Directors. She loved working funerals and visitation and felt it was a pleasure to help families in every way possible.

At the age of 51, she married John Kingsley Martin who had five children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her hobbies included working, traveling, reading, word search puzzles, socializing with others and special events. Vera traveled extensively all over the United States, Cananda and even visited several countries.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, John Kingsley Martin, sister, Ann Baggitt, brothers, Theodore Milow and George Milow, step-sons, John K. Martin, Jr., Thomas A. Martin, and step-grandson, Jonathan Chace Martin.

She is survived by her step-children: Michael C. Martin, Joseph F. Martin, and Amy C. (Martin) Jewett; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A service celebrating Vera's life will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., in Faith Lutheran Church, Eustis, Florida. Rev. Marc A. Kappel will officiate.
