Wanda Eady O'Conner

Wanda Lynne Buffington Eady O'Conner, age 63, of Thomaston, passed away July 27, 2023, at her home.  She grew up in the Forest Park and Griffin areas and moved to Thomaston 25 years ago.  She liked to swim, crochet and was an avid murder mystery and crime show addict. Wanda had a green thumb and could grow almost anything.  For the last year, she battled a very rare brain disease, Moya- Moya, and survived two brain surgeries.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Allen O'Conner and her father, Otis Andrew "Andy" Buffington.

She is survived by her children:  Shawn Eady (Marie) of Macon, Shuantale Jones (Martin) of Barnesville and Danelle Johnson of Chicago, IL; grandchildren: Andrew Prysock, Aidan Prysock, Jorja Prysock, Aniston Jones, Abel Jones and Kaleb Johnson.

She is also survived by her mother: June Buffington; her sister: Angie Rivas both of Cumming; three nephews: Dale, Brandon and Nathaniel; life-long friend: Natalie Duncan; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 31, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor David McGuire officiating. Friends may visit the family on Monday, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the funeral home.
