Wanda Woods

Mrs. Wanda Faye Henry Woods, age 87, of Concord, passed away January 31, 2024.  She was born in Opelika, AL, daughter of the late Charlie Henry and Inez Roberts Henry.  Wanda grew up in the Opelika, Lagrange, and East Point areas, graduating from Russell High School. In her early years, she worked at Delta Air Lines, Owens Corning, and Purina, but most of her life she was a homemaker who took great care of her family. She enjoyed fishing and whatever her grandchildren were doing.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sharon Warren "Woody" Woods, her children, Warren Keith Woods, Jason Thomas Woods, and Mary Helen Woods Campbell and Richard, grandson, Justin Woods and great-grandson, Jude Campbell Cole.

She is survived by her children: Nancy Woods Sims (Randy) and Kevin Woods (Denise); daughters-in-law: Sandra Woods, Jenene Woods Craig, and Touk Varney; grandchildren: Kate Sims, Mary Mae Sims, Andy Sims (Lindsay), Sarah Fay Campbell, Jonathan Campbell (Amber), Melinda Cole (Joe), Kristen Woods Lark (Brandon), Stephanie Sutherland, Michael Mellinger, David Craig, Zackary Kevin Woods (Macy), Austin J. Woods (Kayla), Kayla Frances Woods Davis (Seth); great-grandchildren: Ryan Cole, Jules Cole, Ira Campbell, Jona Campbell, Kora Campbell, Luca Campbell, Audrey Lee Moncus, Autumn Neil, Warren Lark, Riley Lark, Gracie Dixon, Beau Woods, Weston Woods, Caroline Sims and Olivia Sims; brother Ralph Henry; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 4, at 4 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Smith officiating.

Friends may visit the family on Sunday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the funeral home.
