Wayne Dillon

Mr. Larry Wayne Dillon, age 75, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away at his residence on July 17, 2024.  Larry was born March 29, 1949, in Lynchburg, Virginia. He was the son of the late Roy Emett Dillon and Mary Cecil Hamilton Dillon.

Throughout his life he spent most of his career as a funeral director at Williams Funeral Home in Gordon, Georgia. He also held roles as a truck driver for Shaw Industries and worked as a railroad conductor for a period of time as well. His varied career paths reflected his love for travel and exploration.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Dillon was a devout Christian and a dedicated caregiver to his beloved wife, Linda.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife: Linda Diane Allen Dillon; son: Michael Dillon; stepdaughters: Susan Thompson and husband Ron, and Diane Wallace; several grandchildren; siblings: Brian Dillon; and other extended family and friends.

Mr. Dillon will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
