Wayne Schroeder

Mr. Virgil Wayne Schroeder, age 85, of Barnesville, passed away November 11, 2023.  Wayne grew up in Bloomington, IL. He worked with general contractors in the construction, tool, and industrial supply business. He moved to Georgia in 1986.  Wayne worked at Bankston Lumber in Barnesville as a sales representative for 10 years.  He had a green thumb and loved nature, feeding his birds, growing plants and flowers and whistling as he planted. Wayne was a loving father and a doting grandfather.

He is survived by his wife:  Ann Schroeder; children and their spouses: Tim and Leigh Schroeder, Terry and Amy Schroeder and Debbie and Jon Dixon; grandchildren: Marissa, Arron, Adam, Brylee, Noah and Madeline; great-grandchildren: Kaleb and Luke.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
